1. Services Provided HandyTop is a premium Colorado-based construction, craftsman, and customization company offering custom builds, remodels, finish carpentry, bespoke installations, and related craftsman services. The scope of work, materials, timelines, and pricing will be detailed in individual service agreements, estimates, proposals, or contracts executed between HandyTop and the client.
2. Payments & Billing a. A deposit is due upon acceptance of the proposal or start of the job, with progress payments and final payment due as outlined in the individual service agreement. For larger projects, a milestone-based payment schedule may apply. b. Late payments may be subject to additional fees, interest charges, and/or suspension of work until the account is brought current. c. We accept various payment methods, as specified in your service agreement. d. Change orders requested after the project has commenced may affect pricing and timeline and must be approved in writing by both parties before additional work is performed.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling a. Clients may cancel or reschedule services by providing at least 48 hours' notice for standard appointments and consultations. b. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. c. For contracted construction or customization projects, cancellation after work has begun or after custom materials have been ordered may result in forfeiture of the deposit and/or additional charges to cover materials, labor, and restocking fees. d. HandyTop reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, material delays, or safety concerns.
4. Liability & Limitation of Damages a. HandyTop will perform all services with the reasonable care, skill, and professionalism expected of a premium craftsman company. b. We are not responsible for pre-existing damages, defects in existing structures, code deficiencies uncovered during work, or issues beyond our reasonable control. c. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided under the applicable service agreement. d. HandyTop is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from delays, material shortages, or circumstances outside our control.
5. Warranties & Disclaimers a. HandyTop stands behind the quality of our craftsmanship. Workmanship warranties, if any, will be specified in writing in the individual service agreement. b. Manufacturer warranties on materials, fixtures, and appliances are the responsibility of the respective manufacturers and pass through to the client. c. We do not guarantee exact matches for custom finishes, stains, or natural materials due to variations inherent in wood, stone, and other natural products. d. Services are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those explicitly stated in the service agreement.
6. Customer Responsibilities a. Clients must provide safe, clear, and legal access to the service or job site. b. Clients are responsible for securing valuables, fragile items, and pets, and for notifying us of any special instructions or hazards. c. Clients are responsible for obtaining any HOA approvals, easements, or authorizations required before work begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing. d. Clients must ensure utilities (water, electricity, etc.) are available and functional at the job site for the duration of the project.
7. Permits & Code Compliance a. HandyTop will obtain permits required for the scope of work when specified in the service agreement; permit fees are typically passed through to the client at cost. b. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable Colorado building codes and local ordinances.
8. Privacy Policy We value your privacy and handle your personal information according to our Privacy Policy, which can be accessed on our website.
9. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Colorado.
10. Changes to Terms HandyTop reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.
11. SMS Communications Clients and candidates opt-in for SMS from HandyTop via a website form or verbally at our location.
